What are your assessments really telling you?
Our models dictate what we perceive when we do a test or examination. Thus two people can do the same test and get two different interpretations based on the model they have used.
What if I told you that when you do an orthopaedic test such as speed’s that what you are perceiving may be different that what you think?
What if you were able to detect where movement was deficient that had lead to the pain problem in the first place?

Pain and Movement!
The key to understanding pain presentation within your patients is understanding what the pain means neurophysiologically and biomechanically, and more importantly, what movement dysfunction exists that lead to and perpetuates the pain presentation.

The Movement Assessment & Palpation course (MAP) is designed to enhance your abilities to assess movement dysfunction and loss of functional capacity that lead to and contribute to the pain problems in your patients. And in doing so guide you to treatment approaches.

Principles guide effectiveness not protocols!
To begin to understand the principles that guide human movement register to be in the upcoming course here.

The MAP course will guide you through:

  • Integrated movement analysis (gait, squat, pushup, etc.)
  • Neuro-motor testing
  • Accessory joint function
  • Palpation of superficial fascial layers and peripheral nerves
  • Principles of human movement and pain
  • Differentiating the different neurophysiology of the presenting ‘pain’ and how to best approach care to maximize outcomes
  • Understanding various soft tissue approaches based on mechanoreceptor stimulation
  • Review of specific and key orthopaedic tests
  • Freshly un-embalmbed cadaver videos to allow for improved learning

The MAP course is delivered in small group settings to allow for an improved learning environment. It is approved for 20 CE credits
