Brooklyn graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University. Her passion for physical activity has been a defining part of her life, beginning with six years of competitive soccer and transitioning to varsity rugby over the past eight years. Frequent visits to clinics due to multiple injuries—including broken bones and torn ligaments—sparked her interest in rehabilitation. These experiences ignited her desire to help others recover and improve their quality of life.
A significant part of Brooklyn’s academic experience at StFX was her volunteer work at the Athletic Therapy Clinic. This hands-on opportunity allowed her to gain practical insights into rehabilitation and sports injury management while working closely with student-athletes. Brooklyn developed an understanding of key rehabilitation strategies such as injury assessment, taping for injury management, and the use of various modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/ice applications depending on the athlete’s needs. This experience also strengthened her communication skills and fostered a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Brooklyn remains dedicated to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. She plays rugby with her local club, regularly goes to the gym, and enjoys spending time outdoors and playing with her dogs.
