Suzanne Moroney is a Certified Sport Massage Therapist who has made significant contributions to the field for over 16 years. She is the proud sole owner of Coastal Sports and Wellness, a multidisciplinary clinic established in June 2013.
Suzanne began her career in 2007 when she opened a private practice upon graduating with honors from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. In 2011, she expanded her individual practice, adding four additional massage therapists to the company, and operated under the name “Coastal Massage.” Following this, she launched Coastal Sports & Wellness, offering Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Dietary, Occupational Therapy, Reflexology, Personal Training, and Counselling Therapy.
Suzanne is a Sport Fellow with the Canadian Sport Massage Therapist Association, a testament to her unwavering commitment to her profession. Moreover, she is a member in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists’ Association.
Suzanne’s techniques prioritize treatment and healing time, as well as injury prevention, and include deep tissue massage, trigger point releasing, myofascial releasing techniques, cupping massage, Graston Technique, deep stretching, and muscular strength testing to determine neurological dysfunction.
Suzanne’s extensive background in gymnastics is a testament to her remarkable skillset as a practitioner. Having retired as a national-level gymnast in 2014 at just 28 years old, she possesses a unique insight into the demands placed on elite athletes and how to manage their acute, chronic, and preventative care needs.
With over two decades of experience in the sport of gymnastics, Suzanne has acquired invaluable knowledge and expertise that informs her approach to massage therapy. Her deep understanding of the intricacies of the body and the effects of rigorous training has enabled her to hone specific techniques that maximize treatment and healing time.
